Cruise vacations have become a popular option for so many people within the past decade. Despite a complete pause for the better part of 2 years due to a global pandemic, many major cruise lines have expanded their offerings with newer ships, renovations, and itineraries. With so many options out there, I am confident that there is an option out there for everybody. Just in case you needed a little extra convincing, here are some things to know/consider when you are considering your next trip to be by sea:
The Options
Ships have SO many amenities that guests of all ages and interests can enjoy. From salons and spas to Broadway-caliber musicals and kids’ clubs, there is literally something for everyone on board. This makes it an ideal vacation option for families or larger groups with different visions of what an ideal vacation looks like. Sailing dates can vary from 2-night sailings to upwards of 30-night sailings. Pair cruising with a group tour or time in the parks – or consider stacking shorter cruises back-to-back for more time on board. The possibilities are endless.

The Flexibility
As mentioned above, cruising is great for larger groups when you want to make all travelers as happy and comfortable as possible. Have kids? They can spend their afternoon participating in children activities, but you can still get family time for meals. Aside from group coordination and balance, cruising offers a perfect taste of different ports and destinations for the weary traveler(s) who want to eliminate research, transportation, and availability for activities once they exit the ship.
Did you know that a closed-loop cruise vacations (when your sailing begins/ends within the continental United States) does not require travelers to carry a passport? While we still recommend having a passport for a variety of reasons, this gives options to those who may not have a current passport (or one at all).
The Budget
Since there are so many companies and options out there, you would be surprised what options you have to create the memories you’ll treasure forever.
Dining
Did you know that dining is included* in your cruisefare? Folks aren’t kidding when they come back joking about the cruise weight gain. There are so many fun and yummy options aboard!
